Eastward Distraction – Day Eight
By Thom | May 29, 2008
Pine, PA to Columbia City, IN
We woke up to a very humid day – 95% and even though it was cold, it was sure sticky. We thought that maybe we could push for home this day, but it was quite a long way and rain was forecasted for later on in the day, so we thought that we would ride as far as possible and see what the day would bring.
We ended up hitting rain around 4 that afternoon so we stopped and got a motel for the night. It seems like we are really good at staying at motels that are slightly shady, but otherwise ok. Granted, this one was much better than the previous without any holes in the walls and a decent bed. For the life of me, I couldn’t find a wireless connection at all so I couldn’t check any emails or post here.
Because it was so early, we took in a nice Mexican meal and a movie – Indiana Jones. The movie was good and it was nice to relax a little bit instead of driving as far and as fast as possible. Tomorrow, if the weather coroporated, we would try to push for home.
