Westward Distraction: Day Sixteen
By Thom | January 16, 2008
Hot Sulfur Springs, CO to Denver, CO
I spent most of my day traveling through Estes Park and Boulder. Today was more of my big day off in preparation for my big journey home the next day. I made my way through the rockies – just beautiful!! I stopped at the N.P. visitor’s center for quite a while and took it all in. I had a cheap Mexican lunch in Estes Park on top of a building that overlooked the city. I could see the tram that takes you to the top of a nearby mountain to check it all out, I thought about it, but realized that I was just up there an hour ago.. Later in the day I headed to the Celestial Seasonings Tea headquarters. I arrived just as the last tour went out for the day! I had wanted to visit there for quite some time and I’m a tea addict. I ended up sampling a couple different types of tea and also buying about 11 boxes plus a thermal cup for home, and smashing it into my tail box.
I loitered around as long as I could because of the rain storms that were passing, but once I got out, they stopped and I took a trip into Boulder, had some great sushi and hit the sack early.
Lots of pictures:
